I like Sorey’s idea, but sadly, it won’t work. Nice!Īnd a mirror, which prompts a Discovery Point skit in which an important topic is discussed: do seraphim have reflections?
I expect the chests to turn into mimics (did you know there are zombie mimics, too? yeah, that’s as awful as it sounds) and attack me, but they’re actually just full of gald. It also opens the locked doors in the dungeon. Oh yeah! Gold key! Now we can finally unlock all those pesky gold chests we’ve had to pass up. At the deepest part of the dungeon, we open a chest and find… These dungeons get a little tiresome (I prefer the ones with iris gems at the end, thank you), but this one is well worth it. This dungeon has a layout I’ve become well familiar with, though it also has a couple locked doors. Huh.Īaand one more ruin to explore, the Arctus Ruins. We also find another ruined village, though this one seems devoid of the usual mutant hellion. Should I have a bad feeling about this? ‘Cause I have a bad feeling about this. So Shepherds somehow erase history, and seraphim built the malevolence-enhancing arenas we know as crucibles.
Sorey points out that the crucibles must have been made by a seraph. Rose? Those hellions were pretty much the same as hellions found elsewhere in the world. I take Lailah as my seraph and clear the crucible! Whoa! This is the first crucible I’ve seen where you’re allowed two characters. We leave that mysterious place behind and encounter another crucible. Last time we found an area like that, we returned to quell a hellion. This area contains a suspiciously empty area where I suspect we’ll have to go later. So the time periods when Shepherds are active are not recorded in history, or at least no historical records survive? That’s weird… and quite foreboding, actually. Suddenly I’m nostalgic for my first Kingdom Hearts playthrough…Īnd he has something very interesting to point out… This one even includes high areas you can only access by climbing vines!
You know, Zestiria’s dungeon designs get kinda bland and repetitive, but I do like the variety of other environments. Wait, does this mean BG doesn’t carry over between battles? Huh.Īt first, this looks like just another twisty, windy cave, but we soon emerge into a wider area. I knew artes leveled up, but I didn’t know it affected my blast gauge. So as a special bonus, I’m giving you a second chance to claim this action RPG… after our Zestiria sidequesting adventures.įirst up, a quick monolith tutorial from this new area. I don’t know why there haven’t been any takers for my giveaway of Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure, but maybe it was just too well hidden.
